Artistic Director

The Grand Bank Regional Theatre is pleased to welcome back Levi Curtis as the Artistic Director.

Levi has been actively working and creating in theatre for more than 30 years. His passions include writing, directing, producing and performing. He has also been trained in the art of makeup and prop building.  Levi has been onstage across Canada, in such productions as “Juno and the Paycock” directed by Michael Cook and “As You Like It”  for Bay street Theatre.  He has also been involved in film productions like: “Clothesline Patch” and “Making Love in St. Pierre” as Casting agent; and “Last Cottage Hospital” as lead performer. He has written scripts for the stage and screen( approximately 50 stage plays and 25 screen plays).  Many of Levi’s plays are provincial, national and international award winners and many are published. He is responsible for the creation of The Loop Troupe; a group of high school students who were from all nine Burin Peninsula High Schools at the time and had them perform all over North America. He also created The Feller From Fortune International Festival, which is in its sixth year, and is an Artist and Artisan showcase festival. Levi brings to the Grand Bank Regional Theatre a wealth of experience and ‘knowhow’ that will hopefully invigorate and excite the theatre patrons for his second year.
