The Grand Bank Regional Theatre proudly presents the Cast & Crew for the 2017 Season. Returning for a second season, they have already shown the unique combination of talents they bring to our stage.

John d’Eon
Actor

John has been in shows such as “Bed, Breakfast, and Beyond”, “Nar Clue”, and “Much Ado About Nothing” in his time at the Grand Bank Regional Theatre. Other credits at Grenfell include “Anna Karenina”, “Love’s Labour’s Lost”, “The Way of the World”, And “Under Milkwood.” John has spent 9 years at the Grand Bank Theatre and is looking forward to another amazing summer.

Angela Blackwood
Actor

Angela is looking forward to another summer onstage. She has been a Drama teacher/director at John Burke High School for six years. Before becoming a teacher, she graduated from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College with a Fine Arts Acting degree. She has performed at the LSPU hall in Steve Martin’s “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” as well as “6 Characters in Search of an Author”. Her favorite role was “Titania” in a Woodstock-based production of Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream”

Kathleen Hollett
Actor

Well, the Kat came back after all! Kat is happy to be returning to her hometown to perform in the theatre for her 6th year. This past year she has been studying at Sheridan College and will be returning to Ontario in September to continue her musical theatre training. She has experience acting, singing and dancing and has been a part of many local productions, including “Beauty and the Beast”, “On Broadway”, and multiple performances as a cast member over the years. Since heading off to Ontario, Kat has written, composed, directed, and acted in her own original musical at Sheridan College. Kat’s acting, singing and dancing ability make her a true “triple threat” in the theatre world and she can’t wait to share her passion with the many audience members this summer!

Cody Harvey
Actor

Cody has been on school drama troupes since grade 7 and has been to two Provincial Drama showcases with the John Burke Masquerade with the shows “Stupid is Just for Today” and “How to Kiss a Girl”. At these festivals, he has been awarded the esteemed “Matthew and Ashley Award” for his likeable nature and never ending passion for the theatre. Coupled with this acting talent, Cody has performed in a number of musicals including “Beauty and the Beast”, and “On Broadway” directed by Levi Curtis. Cody has also enjoyed singing at many variety concerts and countless school productions. Cody is excited to make your hearts melt and your cheeks hurt as he performs.

Mahalia Legge
Actor

Mahalia is thrilled to be back at the Grand Bank Regional Theatre this year and is hoping to gain experience with acting as well as a singing. Mahalia currently sings with the Burin Peninsula Youth Choir and teaches guitar, piano and voice lessons to children of her home town, Garnish. She competes yearly in the South Coast Music Festival and has won many awards, including Most Versatile Performer for the past two years. This Christmas, Mahalia sang as special guest performer with the Ennis Sisters during their Christmas Tour. Mahalia enjoys playing guitar, mandolin, and piano. She writes original music and has recorded several of her songs. Mahalia starred in the musical “Fame” performed by the MCHS drama troop in 2015! Currently in vocal lessons, Mahalia is working on a concert group. Her true passion is folk music!

Zachery Peach
Actor

Zack  is a 17 year old student attending John Burke High School and is ecstatic about working at the Theatre again this summer. He has been a part of the drama club in Lake Academy for two years and John Burke Masquerade for 3 years. Zachery is an energetic guy who adores the arts. He has also appeared in the show “I Haven’t got A Sweet Clue” by Levi Curtis in the 2015 Feller From Fortune Festival.

Noah Sheppard
Actor

Noah Sheppard is a high school student from Fortune Bay Academy in St. Bernard’s-Jacques Fontaine. For two years he has been a part of his school’s drama troupe, acting in plays such as, “The Ten Best/Worst Things About High School” and “The Snow Show”. Noah has had an amazing experience with his past four high school performances, especially his most recent regional-winning production, “That’s Not How I Remember It” and he is beyond thrilled to start his summer at the Grand Bank Regional Theatre. Recently, Noah has won many awards for his acting ability such as two “Excellence in Acting” awards at the Regional Drama Festival, and an “Excellence in Acting in a Lead Comedic Role” at the recent Provincial Drama Festival that he attended with his winning troupe. This year as he joins the cast, Noah can’t wait to not only work hard and have fun, but also to learn from each of his cast mates and co-workers. Though he is an accomplished actor, he is excited to discover the musical side of his talents and he is prepared to learn and hone new skills.

Amanda Klein
Stage/Production Manager

Amanda is originally from Oshawa, Ontario, but has been living in Corner Brook, Newfoundland for the past four years – working to complete her Technical Theatre Degree. This is her second summer with the Grand Bank Regional and she is thrilled to be taking on so many roles. In the past she has worked with the Gros Morne Theatre Festival as an Assistant Technician. Previous credits include Henry IV: Part One (Stage Manager), Anna Karenina (Stage Manager), Way of the World (Props), Women and Wallace (Director) and La Boheme (Assistant Stage Manager). In addition to her experience with dramatic theatre Ms. Klein also has experience with Musical Theatre, Concerts and Opera. She looks forward to the coming season, and continuing her career in Technical Theatre.

Stephen Perdue
Lighting / Sound Technician

My name is Stephen John Perdue and I’m from Fredericton NB. I followed my father into the theatre trade and went to Sheridan College to take the Technical Theatre and Live Events course in Ontario which would give me almost 6 years of being in this industry. I started my career in NB before even going to college and after school, I moved to Newfoundland for a change a pace and now been here for my 3rd summer. I’ve worked on shows like Frankenstein and A Christmas Carol, but have also worked on smaller shows like The Known Soldier and The Bricklin. I love working/designing Sound and Lights, but one of my other loves is set construction and design.
